Charlie Chaplin in The Adventurer (Mutual, R-1920s).
Full-Bleed Swedish One Sheet (22.5" X 35").
In beautiful stone litho, Charlie Chaplin clings to the face of a rock in his prison stripes, attempting to allude a warden and guard upon his escape from jail. He does in fact, successfully escape from the big house, and immediately finds himself in the middle of free society. After rescuing a girl and her mother from drowning, they invite him to their home where a big party is held. Jailbird Charlie receives a hero's welcome, but unfortunately his photo is printed in the newspapers, and the prison guards are on his tail. Designed by artist Bjornberg, this early Swedish reissue poster shows only a small tear in the top left border.
